THE STORY:

Sunny Jacobs and Peter Pringle each served years on death row for crimes they did not commit -- Jacobs 17 years in the U.S and Pringle 15 years in Ireland. Both were exonerated after their convictions were overturned.  Today they are dedicated to the healing and support of others that have been wrongfully incarcerated and have started The Sunny Center with this mission in mind.  The Sunny Center will be a sanctuary, providing exonerees with immediate spiritual, emotional and physical support.

I am more than moved, I am deeply compelled and believe it IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY as a humane society to at the VERY LEAST help these wrongly imprisoned, innocent people "land" and have a place to recover from decades of wrongful incarceration. I am helping raise $600,000 to purchase a home in Ireland where Sunny Jacobs and Peter Pringle can dedicate themselves to providing rehabilitation, healing and love for individuals to who have endured the horrors of false imprisonment. Guests at the Sunny Center will be assisted in overcoming the trauma, isolation, and disconnection resulting from wrongful incarceration. All donations will go to the purchase of this sanctuary. A $50,000.00 donation would provide the down payment for the property, and a $5,000 donation would provide for 1 month of stay.
